High quality, detailed prints
The MP960 can print sharp, detailed prints up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi. Users also have the flexibility of printing on thicker fine art photo rag paper. The FINE technology print head makes quick work of photos and text with a next-generation 3,584-nozzle print head that ejects precise droplets as small as one picoliter. The advanced seven-color ink system incorporates six dye-based inks, including photo cyan and photo magenta colors perfect for life-like photos, as well as a pigment-based black ink that produces laser-quality text for business documents. You can produce borderless 4 x 6-inch photo lab quality prints in approximately 35 seconds.

Acts as a copy machine and scanner
The MP960 can copy up to 30ppm in black and 22ppm in color and has a built-in duplexer, producing double-sided documents and photos. As a photo or document scanner, the high resolution maximum 4800 dpi color CCD scanning element with vibrant 48-bit color depth is designed for scanning up to eight slides, twelve negatives, and film using the built in adapter.
Sophisticated interface
The bright flip-out 3.5-inch TFT screen allows users to preview images before printing and photo editing. It also has a new Easy-Scroll Wheel interface that includes editing, copying, printing, and scanning options.
Advanced copy technology
The MP960 employs advanced copy technology to give you precise reproductions of original images and documents. Canon's Dual Color Gamut Processing Technology improves color accuracy by independently controlling brightness, hue, and other elements to make sure there are minimal differences between the original and the copy.
Wired or wireless
When used with a supported Canon digital SLR, the MP960 supports the user-friendly Canon-to-Canon Direct Advantage. Connected via the PictBridge port, the Canon-to-Canon connection allows users to brighten faces, print shooting information on a print, or even print a contact sheet with up to 35 images all directly from the camera controls without a PC. Seems to be a GREAT Product!:

For those who are worried about COMPLEX setups with NEW products, this one was pretty straight forward. Canon providsa BIG (Picture Oriented) setup guide which is pretty easy to follow. Once it was setup, it took awhile to figure out the controls, but the output is SIMPLY astonishing! Photos, copies, scans are really exceptionally impressive, I should know, I own a VERY EXPENSIVE Color wide format printer and this machince rivals its output! Great. When it works...:

I've had this printer for about a year and a half now. I received it as a Christmas gift. I'm greatful for that because knowing that I paid for this thing would make me even more angry and frustrated when it doesn't work.
It does a great job printing pictures and scanning. I haven't really had any problems with dull scans like other reviewrs have mentioned.
My biggest problem with this item is the fact that one minute it starts right up prints what it should and then about 50-60% of the time it... more info

Pixma 960 printer:

The printer functions well as a printer and copier. The printer can be used via bluetooth to print in another location, but I have been unable to achieve this with scanning which means I have to have the printer attached to the computer. This defeats the purpose for having purchased a bluetooth item.

Slodog:

The only thing that is missing in an automatic feeder. I had some old slides that I scanned and they came out beautiful. Old faded memories came to light again. I had an HP before but I won't go back. Cannon is better all the way around.
