Melissa & Doug toys rock!:

This was purchased (with the easel) for a 2 1/2 year old and he loved it! It is sturdy and designed to grow with him. The accessories are so well thought out...the paint cups and brushes in matching colors help him to keep the colors straight so he doesn't end up with mud (pretty much) with lids so they don't dry out...with center holes for keeping the paint in the cup..and a nice sturdy tray. I bought this painting set as a Christmas present for my 2 year old grandson. He absolutely loves it and stands at his new easel delighting in his creations. The no-spill cups make it ideal for little hands and there's no mess. I would absolutely recommend this to any parent/grandparent of a budding artist :)

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Easel Companion Set:

The companion set is an absolute must if you have purchased the Easel. It comes with 4 colored cups with lids that hold the paint with coordinating paint brushes. It makes it very easy to put away. You don't have to clean out the cup and waste paint, you can just put the lid on until next time. Having a matching brush help my daughter with her colors and from mixing colors.
