The HKTS 18 home theater speaker system combines identically voiced, magnetically shielded two-way satellite and center channel speakers with a 10-inch, 200-watt subwoofer for high-performance sound that complements the design of Harman Kardon receivers and DVD players, as well as today's flat-panel video displays. Pretty good system for the price tag: 
I have read lot of reviews about different home theater speaker systems within the price range of 500 - 600 and had bought this one. I have an Onkyo 705 receiver and when I connected HK speakers to my receiver, the sound was really great. I might look for a good center speaker, but overall, I am very much impressed with the speaker system. If you are within the price range of 500-600, this is the best one for you.
Detailed but Sounds Like They're in a Tin Box: 
I compared these to the Boston Acoustics MCS130's in my apartment and though the Boston's are quiet ugly (especially the subwoofer), they won in terms of sound quality. To test both speaker sets, I first connected them full range to my stereo to test their total capabilities. While the HK's produce clear and detailed, but perhaps too bright sound, any midrange tones sounded as if it were coming from a tin can. Great speakers:
I really like these speakers! I bought with a Yamaha receiver, a PlayStation3 (for the blueray capability) and a Samsung TV. They feel like being in a theater. I especially like listening to Blueray HD cd's. The sound feels like you're at a live performance only better,because it's perfectly balanced and mixed. I will recommend these speakers to anyone who asks. excellent speaker set-up for an audio newbie:
Ive been big into the HD scene for a few years now, and never payed much attention to audio. I was always fine with television speakers, partially because I felt overwhelmed with the endless speaker/reciever combinations possible. I finally decided to get this surround sound speaker system, and boy have I been missing out!!
I paired these HKTS-18 with the Onkyo TX-SR606 reciever, and couldn't be happier.
I really have no point of reference, but what I can tell you is that these speakers rock! Not...more info
