Point it anywhere.:
The fact that this remote is bluetooth has be its best feature. No need to point it at the PS3. If you are going to be using your PS3 as a Blu-Ray player it is the only way to go. Using a controller or buying one of the other remotes that uses infrared is just a waste. This controller has everything you need to control your movie. My only complaint would be that it is all black. This makes it hard to find the buttons in the dark. But I have the same problem with some of my other remotes that have colored... more info

Useful Blu-Ray Function:
This remote is a must if you use your Sony PS3 for Blu-Ray playback frequently. Very nicely design and high quality feel.
Peripheral Convenience:
It's worth the purchase price. Using the PS3 wireless game controller can be a bit cludgy and does not have all of the features that the remote controller does. It is an extra remote control, but definitely handy to have around.
