This new 6 Liter Touchless Trashcan TX model is a personal trash container. With its compact design, it can fit almost any tight space such as under office table, inside kitchen sink cabinet, bathroom, bedroom, and kid's room. It uses the same sensor technology in the lager NX and SX models. As your hand or debris enter the zone 6 inches from the infrared sensor on top of the trash can, the lid will automatically open. The lid will remain open if debris or hand is within the 6 inch range of the infrared sensor. 3 seconds after your hand moves away from the lid it closes automatically. At top front of the lid there are open and close buttons for manual operation, and there is a on/off power switch on the back of the trash can. Includes an inner bucket. Inner Plastic Bucket Inconvenient to Remove:
As the product description indicates, the inner plastic bucket is removable. But what the description does not tell you is that the entire top assembly has to be removed before you can lift out the inner plastic bucket. It takes at least two hands (and in my case, two feet as well) to separate the top assembly from the bottom. That makes it rather inconvenient to remove the bucket. Other than that, it is fine. Very handy trashcan.:
I'm a germophobe, and got this little trashcan last year, to have it sitting on the counter by the kitchen sink so that I can throw small things away without having to touch a trash bin. I'm not too fond of the huge trashcans that get smelly and take up space in the kitchen, so I much prefer this little one that we don't have to touch and that we just empty regularly. perfect for food scraps:
I love this automatic trash can. I keep it next to the kitchen sink and use it for keeping food scraps, which I dump into the green trashcan with the yard waste so that the city can turn it into compost. I've tried using other composting and food scrap bins and they all get smelly. But this trash can seals pretty well and keeps the smell in. The sensor that automatically opens the lid is so convenient: all you have to do is chop your veggies, put your hand over the lid so it opens, then drop in your food... more info
Good value and good size for the counter top:
I love the convenience of this product. You keep your hand sanitary while cooking.
It also keeps the trash smell inside pretty well.
I just hope it lasts... This is my second Touchless Trashcan. Do not put it under water to clean (just wipe clean) or force the lid up or down when on. Believe me people get very excited about it and think it is a toy...
