bananagrams is kind of a cross between scrabble and a cross word puzzle - each player makes his own board of words simultaneously - so no waiting between turns as in scrabble which eliminates tedium. Its also a quick game - we can play about 20 times in a row with no problem - good for groups - perfect for the weekend cabin activity.
A toy for all age groups:
I have ordered three of these now, for people ages 4, 49 and 84. You can play this by yourself or with up to 4-6 people. Generally, I play with one other person and the 144 tiles provide three games. Enormously entertaining. Goes faster than Scrabble and just as intellectually challenging. I highly recommend it. Banana Fun:
My grandchildren had this game and since I love Scrabble, I took to it immediately. I like it because it moves quickly and you do not have to keep score. In fact, I ordered it for myself and play solo.

Banagrams is so much fun. The games are quick, two or more can play, and it is also educational. It's a little like Scrabble, only faster and much more portable. I highly recommend it!
