A must have foor thinner hardwood floors:
I used this gun to install about 100 sq feet of Bruce/Armstrong Natural Reflections Oak flooring. It made the install go super smooth with no major issues. Jammed maybe once and it took a few minutes to get a feel for it. Once you get going it is amazing. I highly recommend it.
Worked like a charm:
Worked flawlessly to lay 600sq/ft of 3/8" solid Brazillian Redwood from BellaWood. Make sure you grab this gun for the hard solid woods as I rented the LHF97125-2 first and it wouldn't push the 20ga staples all the way through.
Too much plastic:
The stapler worked ok, but the plastic shoe broke within 5 minutes after I started using it. Sears now has a Craftsman stapler which is made better and costs about 20% less.
ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL TOOL FOR HARDWOOD FLOORING:
We are in the construction/residential remodeling business in Florida. Most homes here are built on a concrete slab so we have installed many hardwood floors by gluing them...not fun, but necessary. We recently remodeled a frame home with plywood sub-floors and finally had the opportunity to use staples for the installation, so ordered this tool. What a time saver!! It worked like a charm throughout the entire 2300 sq. foot installation. No glitches, no jamming up of the staples. I just wish there were more... more info
