I've had my razor for over 1yr now and thought I'd never use the cleaner, but just plug it in to the wall. After trying it for the first time though, I was hooked. Just the thought of it being all clean/disinfected plus that smell, and there's no turning back. I only charge/clean it once a week and just shake it out daily. This seems to last 2-3 months per refill. I think that's acceptable. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Good product but no cost saving:
Deal is okay...not really a big saving...especially factoring the shipping cost it equivalent to the cost of $/cartridge at a Drug's store.

Braun Syncro Shaver System Clean & Renew Refills These cartridges last MUCH longer than advertised, even if used as directed. I don't necessarily clean the razor after each use. If I have only one use on the unit, a visual inspection shows that there really is no need for a full cleaning. Following the recommendation in the manual to pop the screen loose, the run the razor with the screen in that manner shakes out a massive amount of the detritus accumulated in the head of the razor.
