Great value for this pitcher of Pur filter system. It does taste good. Pur vs. Brita. Both are good in my opinion. I just happen to like the cobalt blue color of this pitcher.
Pur 2 Stage Oval Pitcher - Better Than You've Heard, But Still Needs Some Work:
The PUR CR-6000C 2 Stage Oval Water Pitcher with LED Indicator has some very strong positives that make it a good choice. However, it also has some weaknesses that will hopefully be addressed in a re-design. As long as you know what the weaknesses are, you should be able to get more use of the benefits of this product than some people have reported. Pros:

My family has used a Pur pitcher for at least a decade (and a Brita before that) and lately I just got fed up with the Pur. The last 2 filters we bought are so slow to filter the water, sometimes it sits in the top for hours. Then when you forget to wait and try to pour, the lid pops off and water spills everywhere. A waste of time and money. You should try the Clear2O Premium Water Filtration Pitcher, it's perfect!
Gets the job done!:
I have now used both a faucet mount PUR filter and the PUR pitcher. I guess I have to say that I like them both. The only reason I got the pitcher was because I was sick of the faucet mount getting in my way. But both work equally well. I like the pitcher because it goes in the 'fridge so you have COLD water all the time. With the faucet mount, even though you run cold water through it, it isn't always as cold as from the 'fridge.
