This product has got to be one of the best investments I have ever made! I was a little worried about this cleaner after reading some of the more critical reviews, but having had good luck with Bissel products in the past I thought I would give it a shot. It does seem to use a little more shampoo than I am used to, but it sure seems to be doing something with it. I LOVE this carpet cleaner. Smart design, well made, and it works exactly as promised. We have three cats, two over the age of 15, which means vomit and the occasional pee spot are part of our lives. I bought this machine after I had tried a friend's Hoover steam cleaner and needed something to clean my carpets. I have two dogs 1 of whom finds mud and loves to lay in it; therefore, I needed something that would deep clean and remove ground in dirt.
