PS3 is worth it for the blue ray alone. The game is ok, but the system is tremendous. We've had it one yr. with nothing but joy.

I give this 5 stars! We bought this in Jan 08.Today is 11/19/08 and it still works great,no console flaws to date. The only glich we have experienced is on ps2 games it looks for a shock controller that doen't exist. All you have to do though is hit o.k.(x) a couple times. We use our ps3 numerous times a week. Game time 8-20 hrs a week. Dvd and BlueRay time 20 hrs a week. As far as the compatibility issues all of our ps1 and ps2 games have worked fine. Never buy a video game system again:
This product is very fun. I have had this system working for a year and 2 days. Warranty is only good for a year. This system won't read any discs and it would cost 150 dollars plus shipping to fix it. Nice going Sony.I guess they are just like microsoft. I don't know. I think I might just get out of this business because it's pissing me off.
Good, upgradeable BD Player/ intro to BD:
I must confess that it was a good Black Friday deal (this came with 15 total free BD's at Walmart), that tempted me into this purchase. I am not a gamer. I purchased this after I purcased my first A2 HD DVD player, because I wanted to have even more variety as a hi-def enthusiast. Updates take a while, but run seemlessly. As of 9/2008 it decodes all sound codecs with the new firmware, and playback has been flawless so far.
