Lightweight and Convenient to complete the chore like a charm. Sweep and Vacuum in one simple step with this bagless Dirt Devil Broom Vac¿Weighing less than 5 lbs, it lightweight design gives your aching back a break but it is not light on Power.
An inexpensive alternative to brooms, dustpans, and bending over to get at the last of the dirt pile, the cordless, bagless, yet surprisingly effective Dirt Devil Broom Vacuum is well suited to heavy-duty sweeping and vacuuming on hard-surface floors of all types. Where it really shines, though, is for quick touch-ups--the dog-hair tumbleweeds and stray Cheerios of everyday life. 60% more powerful than the Broom Vacuum's last incarnation, its 9.6 volt motor has plenty of juice for sucking up debris from tile, laminate, hardwoods, and linoleum. Users with bad backs will appreciate the foot-activated on/off switch, and at just 3-1/2 pounds, without cumbersome power cords to trip over, the unit maneuvers with admirable ease. It's easy to see when the transparent dirt cup is full, and the canister snaps off easily for emptying. Brushed-edge cleaning extends the unit's reach, and the 10-inch-wide nozzle feels more like a broom than a skinny stick vacuum. To recharge, simply plug into the included adaptor when storing. The Dirt Devil Broom Vacuum is not intended for wet spills or carpeted surfaces, but for dry messes, crumbs, and dust, it's a solid value and so easy to use that you just might find yourself sweeping the kitchen floor more often. The unit measures a compact 21 by 13 by 1-1/2 inches and is covered by a one-year warranty. < I>--Mary Park

Kitchen Helper:
This brook, is ok, it does not pick real well and i am on my second one because the first one died. It loses power after awhile. It is good for quick pick ups though.
Good broom. Poor battery life.:
We purchased the broom in early '08. It worked fairly well for our wood and tile floors. About what we expected. However, after about 18 months the battery went. There is no way to replace it yourself. The factory gave me the number of a repair shop. They said forget replacing the battery, it's less money to buy a new one. There you go. If you think the price is worth maybe up to two years of use, buy it. We did not think it was worth replacing ours. The old broom and dust pan are pretty inexpensive.

Good for Price and every day use:
This is a great product for every day use. Don't have to get out a dust pan. It just sucks it up right into the broom and has quite a bit of storage space so you don't have to empty it every time. Holds its charge well. The cons is it is still a broom, so tight to get get into those hard to reach places. It is also a little heavier than a broom. Most of the time you have to get right on top of the item for it to suction it up. And to clean the bristles, you have to use your hand... Other than that, good... more info
Terrible batteries.:
After 6 months of use the batteries go kaput. This has been true for two different units. Not of much use with that short of life.
