Great product and great Garmin customer service!:
I bought this Garmin Forerunner 50 set that comes with a foot pod and a heart rate monitor.
Few months ago, the USB driver wasn't retrieving the data from the watch, so I contacted the Garmin customer support. I received a prompt reply and my problem was resolved.
I like Forerunner 50 best because it is much lighter than other Garmin Forerunner watches that come with a GPS. Moreover, you can track your runs for free on [...], so there is no need for a GPS device.
Having trouble with cailibration of footpod:

Footpod hard to get calibrated but I am trying,I realize it is not a gps but the product is good for what it is designed for.

I needed a new heart rate monitor and the price of this package with the foot pod was too good to pass up. The heart rate monitor works flawlessly compared to my old Omron which never gave me a stable reading. I am now able to accurately monitor my recovery and tempo runs based on heart rate. The foot pod also works quite nicely, once calibrated. I am getting spot on mileage readings. I did encounter a problem when I used the foot pod on a different shoe (I rotate my running shoes). I am enjoying my Garmin Forerunner 50. I found it easy to install. One issue came up with the foot pod, but I quickly realized that the battery needed to be replaced. I installed on my laptop so that I can travel and still upload my workouts as well as not having to be on-line to see my workouts. I think that the data that it tracks for me is excellent and fits my purpose in keeping records of my mileage, average pace and speed, and heart rate data.
