The hard drive works well but had trouble with software on my old computer as needed more memory to do back up and recovery discs
Great Product:
I dropped it twice while it was connected and being used, and I still don't have any problems with it. It's durable, fast, effective, conveniently small and inexpensive. This is by far the best external harddrive I've ever owned.

Once one has whittled down the plethora of external drives on the market using capacity, weight and dimensions as parameters to a few suitable competitors, it is left to the equally important choices of color and shape. Extremely portable:
I've had this product for a little over a month, and have used it probably 10-15 times, both for large transfers (over 100 GB) and small, single file transfers. I primarily use it to access files between my XP desktop and Vista laptop. The only problem I've encountered is that the drive is not recognized the first time it is plugged into a USB port. I have to unplug it and plug it back in before the drive is recognized. I haven't yet encountered any problems with data loss because of this, but only time... more info
