Seattle's Fleet Foxes make such complex, harmonic, 70s inspired folk-rock, it's hard to believe that the band's principle songwriter, Robin Pecknold, is only 21 years old. There's a moment on David Crosby's "Laughing" where Cros, Joni, and the whole gang hit a harmony that might be the most gorgeous moment in the history of recorded music. The Fleet Foxes know that moment and they go for it. This EP is a precursor to the band's debut, "Ragged Wood", out in June.

Giant Accomplishment from the Foxes:
There are only five songs on this EP, but every single song, for that matter, every note is pure perfection. beautiful:
I first got Fleet Foxes full length cd..after listening to that I had to get all their stuff. After a few listens these songs get into your head..Heard interview with them..seem like really cool guys.
Comparatively outstanding:
This EP is truly monumental. I have never really heard anything like it, and, personally, i like it better than their subsequent album. The album is good, but for some reason the EP retains a crispness throughout its five tracks that the album does not. My suggestion: buy the EP, bath in its Autumn-afternoonish glory, and, if satisfied, buy the album for a few more good tracks and to provide fiscal support to this fantastic band.
Sun Giant - A Giant:
This short album is a good introduction to the style of Fleet Foxes. This band is different sounding than most music you hear today Its very refreshing while remaining meaningful. Review some audio clips and I'm sure you'll agree.
