Navigon FreshMaps Map Update Service:
To update my Navigon using this method it was necessary for me to download the entire map update to my device via my computer. As I'm limited to a satellite Internet connection, it took me several long and frustrating tries (multiple hours) before I was able to accomplish the download. I feel that Navigon should offer an update method (CD or DVD) via mail for people who don't have high-speed Internet connectivity.

Navigon 7200T:
Received unit a week or so ago. Charged up unit for one hour before powering it on. Unit crashed and needed a reboot twice during the first hour of use. However it is working fine for the past five days, no problems. Looks like it comes with a newer firmware than what is avail on Navigon web site (version 1.3X). The map is fairly accurate; however I have found some errors. The errors seem to be Navteq's mapping errors. There is an error reporting site for Navteq (see Navigon's web site). Navigon FreshMaps:
The Navigon Freshmaps Update Service will work if one has a lot of patience and perseverence. The service performs in the typical Navigon fashion: extremely dumb and non-cooperative software performance. The update process is non-intuitive and downright obstinate at times. When one does get to the point of downloading the update file it takes several hours to complete (using DSL). All that being said the product did accomplish an update.
