HDMI cables are limited to extended length runs due to the voltage drop and capacitance incurred. Install this repeater between two HDMI cables, and runs of up to 50 meters (160 ft.) are possible (when using HDMI cables with 24 AWG conductors; cables sold separately). The secret to this passive repeater is that it works off of the voltage present on the HDMI bus, this voltage is used to actively correct the digital signal so that the output is exactly the same as the input and everything works flawlessly. The female to female coupler design makes installation plug-and-play. Two molded standoffs allow for permanent mounting.
