The un-necessary accessory:

Canon makes a great little printer in the PIXMA iP100 printer.. Sold as a network printer. But; not so until you buy another necessary piece which took me two months and several dry runs to find one in stock. First time with Amazon was a sort of bait and switch.. In stock when I ordered it online then a few days later I was told they could not deliver. Finally got the adapter. Works as promised. Easy to install and NOW THE PRINTER IS A "NETWORK" PRINTER. Very nice (but why not covered in the battery compartment).:

I wanted to be free of cables with my IP100 printer. This is the only device usable for this and it works flawless.
Only down side - why couldn't it be hidden inside the battery compartment or in another way. It is way too exposed as it is mounted now.

BU-30 is compatible with Canon i100 printer and current for Feb 2010:

Recommended to make Canon's i100 mobile printer wireless. If you need ink cartridge info, just use a USB cable, otherwise go wireless. Also, recommend the battery kit for i100 printer which provides plenty of battery life between charges - makes you totally portable with a good laptop (Apple MacBook Pro), and I also use a Canoscan thin portable scanner with USB cable, and keep it all in a Samsonite laptop computer bag on wheels ready to roll and fly at a moment's notice.

Look before you buy:

Buy a HP Printer instead, or something that has bluetooth already. Could have saved 50 bucks.... Also, the blue tooth will only print, it won't transfer scanned docs wirelessly.
