Note: All Navigon GPS Navigators run on the Microsoft Windows CD Net 5.0 operating system. A PC is required to use additional map data, and in such cases users require Windows 2000, ME, XP or higher, as well as a CD ROM drive and a USB port. An SD/MMC card reader is recommended as the 7100 not only uses SD cards, but also comes with a 2 GB SD card in the package.

Navigon 2100 max (compare to Garmin Nuvi 755T):
Background: I had always rented vehicles with a GPS until recently my frequency of travel to unfamiliar cities had reached a point where it made sense to purchase my own. I was not looking for a GPS to play MP3s, make phone calls, take photos, or fill out my taxes. I simply care about its ability to navigate from point A to B and to get around an unfamiliar place, and so I'll limit this review to those features. Very Impressed:
I purchased this unit a few weeks back and have been very pleased with it's performance. I did do alot of reasearch on-line prior to making my decision. I do admit, I was a bit skeptical with the quality level at $159.99. From the moment I took it out of the box, I was impressed. The setup and entering in routes were simple. I had no trouble getting a signal. I was also taken back by the amount of additional features: POI's, Speed Limit Indicator, and Reality View are nice add on's. Overall, I am pleased... more info
Save Your Money:
It seems like a good deal with the extra features and traffic. But its not a good deal. the thing wants to freeze up every 5 minutes then it wants to take 20 minutes to calculate route then once you start driving a few miles it freezes up and you have to reset it. then it just does it again and again you will never be able to get to your destitnation if you need this to get there. I returned this and spent the extra money to get a garmin 755t and it worked right out of box without all the problems....
