GRID Is all about the race- that period from lights to flag; full of tension, pressure, noise, and action. GRID will take players to beautifully realised and dramatic race locations over three continents to compete in an unprecedented variety of racing events. Packed with the most powerful race cars - new and classic, circuit and drift - players will compete to conquer the most prestigious official race tracks and championships and then go beyond to compete in challenging city-based competitions, through to road events and urban street races. In Europe, race gamers will compete on the greatest official tracks in prestige Marques including Aston Martin, Koenigsegg and Pagani. Iconic cities across the U.S. - including San Francisco, Washington DC and Detroit and each with their own atmosphere and events - play hosts to diverse street races. Here, high-performance V8 muscle cars set the pace in aggressive closely fought pack competitions. In the Far East, Japanese racing culture sets the tone where night races, including Drift racing, take drivers through neon illuminated cities and to outlying mountain roads. There is also the opportunity to compete in races that operate on the fringes of legality in the back streets and industrial areas of Yokohama.

Lots of Racing Action:
Lots of racing and no adjustments to car or setup. Good graphics on good computer.
If I could play it:
These graphics blow me away, but the 30FPS cap is disapointing. Not only that, but i have a PS2, XBox and XBox 360 controller, and each has it's own adapter. This game doesn't regonize pressure sensitivity like console racing games such as Gran Turismo does. I would like to play it, but without decent controls..... Why + Bother
Grid and Vista 64 bit:
Don't buy this game if you have Vista 64 bit and a MoMo Force Feedback wheel. I wish someone would have posted that you have no control over the gas pedal when you try to play this game. Yes, it looks to be very fun if only it would work correctly. I went to Logitech's site and did download the latest driver version for my Feedback wheel, it still didn't help. There seems to be some fixes out there which include rewiring your gas and brake pedals or fiddling with your (registry) all of which you should... more info

I am all about racing, airplane games and most recently first person shooters like COD, but my number one game type is racing. GRID hits the mark for me in just about every category and then some. It's neither a full blown Sim nor a full blown arcade race game. It falls somewhere in between and will lean slightly to the Sim side but not all the way. I thought Test Drive Unlimited was the end all to race games for the moment once I got it. It was a total eye candy game along with free roam, selection of cars... more info
