DOESN'T WORK:
IT DOESN'T WORK. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO WORK FOR ONLY ONE GPS. ONCE THE INFORMATION IS DOWNLOADED TO THE GPS, IT WILL NOT DOWNLOAD TO ANOTHER GPS.
GARMIN MAP UPDATE:
I WAS UPSET, THAT I CAN'T UPDATE ALL OF MY (4) GARMINS WITH THIS CD, IT WON'T TAKE WITHOUT A NEW KEY. IT'S ANOTHER WAY GARMIN GETS YOU, I BOUGHT M
ALL MY GARMINS NEW, AND THEY ALL HAD OUTDATED MAPS.
As advertised:
I've noticed some improvements since my update, but I was going from 2006 vervion to this, so I should have. Running the update was easy and I didn't have Mapsource on my computer prior to this, so I have been able to play with that and find some new tricks. It was worth the money in my case because I bought my GPS new, but with an older map set loaded, but I'm not sure I will update again given that decent GPS units can be purchased for about $40 more now.
Good updates for the Garmin:
I noticed recently that a route that was not previously on the Garmin suddenly was given as an option after I installed the map updates. It was a much needed update to keep abreast of the changing roads/signs.
