I was looking for a way to use bluetooth to connect my iTouch to car stereo and get rid of the aux jack wire. This did the job. Just note that you have to power it off a usb charger. Sounds great. Connects easily to anything I've thrown at it (iTouch, iPhone and a Blackberry).
It distorts the highs on an iPhone 3G:
Based on all the great reviews, I bought this thinking I was good to go. Well, let me tell you, it doesn't work that great with an iPhone 3G. I found that it distorted some high notes, like guitar notes with a crackling, static-like noise. Not on every single high note, but at least enough to say "hey are my tweeters blown??". I tested it on 2 home stereo receivers and in the car and I could reproduce the 'crackling static-like highs' from all 3 units. I'm not sure how other reviewers are saying it sounds... more info
In car solution:
Best solution for iPhone in car use that I have come across so far. Better than the $400 factory solution for my BMW which won't charge the 3GS. I got a cigarette light charger for the iPhone and use the built in USB for the Gateway.
