THIS DVR EXPANDER IS A MUST BUY!:

To anyone out there with a TiVo HD, TiVo Series 3, or TiVo HD XL DVR and you want to add extra recording hours/capacity to your DVR, then I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase this Western Digital My DVR Expander.
At first, I was skeptical to buy this DVR Expander because of the product description stating that it will only add 60 more hours of HD and 300 more hours of SD recording space to a DVR. After I spoke with a TiVo Customer Service Rep, who assured me that the Expander would actually add 600... more info

Works Great, No Problems:

I purchased this product last August and it installed on my Tivo HD without any problems. Immediately my storage was extended for HD recordings. My Tivo's Hard Drive had to be replaced and I purchased a replacement from Weakee's and installed it today. I was kind of worried if I would have any problem reinstalling the storage unit to work with my new drive. After going through the Tivo Guided Installion, I reconnected the drive per WD instructions and it instantly was recognized. No problems what so ever.... more info

Great product!:

Excellent product...easy to use, and easy to setup. I did not want to mess with upgrading my internal drive, so this was the best option for me. Also, with the recent price drop of these drives, this decision was a no-brainer.

Compatibility a problem:

If you have Cox cable, ONLY the Scientific Atlanta 8300 DVR box will work. No other. Unfortunately, it isn't easy to exchange boxes. Cox is always running out.
