This is an excellent cd...if you are a music lover, this is one you definitely want to add to your collection!

Sincere and Beautiful:

I think the last time i have listened to an album so much was when i got Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black." I agree, the first time i heard Adele i thought she sounded exactly like Amy, however the more you listen to the songs, the more you see how they are different and Adele's songs most definitely stand on their own. Her voice is beautiful, but the lyrics and melodies are great as well. There is one song - Melt My Heart to Stone that has 1-2 pitchy spots, but nothing horrible. Simply marvelous!:

Such a beautifully powerful surprise, Adele's debut album `19' is still lingering on my skin days after listening to it for the first time. Yes, like everyone else I have heard `Chasing Pavements', but it was a brilliantly sung forgettable song for me. It just didn't have this "YOU MUST BUY MY ALBUM" quality about it. All this `Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash' comparisons got me interested, simply because I consider `Back to Black' and `Made of Bricks' to be two of the best albums I own. Adele 19 - Solid Performance:

Chasing Pavements is by far the best song on here. She has a unique, soft voice with great range. The lyrics are catchy and the beats on some of the songs are really good. However, it lacks the edge of a Kate Nash. Overall, good for those who like a more mainstream British female singer.
