What are phthalates? Phthalates (pronounced thal-ates) are a component added to some plastics to make them soft and pliable. None of CamelBak's bottles have ever contained phthalates.

Nice bottle, but not perfect:
I decided on this water bottle after reading all the great reviews. I just wanted to add a few of my observations. First, I ordered the color called Ice and thought I should point out that it looks nothing like the picture. It is actually a light periwinkle color...which is fine but not exactly what I was going for. To me I thought it looked like a frosty beige in the picture. I bought this bottle for my 8 month old daughter!:
Once my daughter started crawling and grabbing everything she could get her hands on, she would particularly grab for my camelbak better bottle. We then noticed that she knew how to drink out of it. So over the summer I would bring my bottle everywhere and she could get a few sips of water while we were out. I eventually decided to buy one for her. So I bought the .5 bottle for her in berry. Handy and Cute!:
I love these sturdy, cute waterbottles! The slim design makes it convenient to take anywhere, and the bite valve makes sure nothing gets wet when I slip the bottle into a backpack or purse. I recommend the .75 liter size for everyday use around the house or at the gymn, but the smaller bottles are great for in the car or movie theatre.
I finally drink more water!!:
I'm not a big fan of drinking water. A bottle of water would last me for days! I was tired of spending money on bottled water and decided to purchase the BPA-Better water bottle in hopes that I would drink more water. And I do!! I bought the 24oz size and drink one of those a day. That is alot for me. With the bite valve I drink so much more than I would with the typical water bottle.
