Nice Collection of Board Games:
If you want a break from the usual shoot-em-up Wii games, then this is it. If you like board games then you will like this collection. The graphics are well done and you can play at your own pace alone or with others. Plus, each game has various ways (and rules) to play. That way you have far more than just a few games. This disk isn't the fast paced game you usually find, but rather a fun and familiar format of board games that is easy to play for all ages.
Don't believe the bad reviews:
I almost didn't buy this game due to the multiple poor reviews, but I am really glad I did. All the games work great except Sorry. Sorry works ok, but everyone can see your cards and it takes a little while to get the hang of it. My wife and I agree the board game is better as a board game. Connect 4, Yahtzee and Boggle are all great! We have played them a bunch. When my wife and I first got married we used to play board games a lot, but that fizzled out. Now we have been playing this a couple times a week... more info
Good alternative to dragging out the board games:
I purchased this for my 9-year-old game-loving son for Christmas. It is so much easier to play this than it is to drag out all of the different board games it includes, not to mention cheaper to buy this than all of those board games. I especially like the Battleship because it is so much easier to play this than to get all those little pegs out in "real life", especially with a toddler running around my house who could choke on the pieces. We also really like the Sorry Sliders. I think this game is fun for... more info
Too hard to use:
I was really looking forward to making this game a weekly family ritual, however it is too hard to move the game pieces around. It is difficult for adults and completely frustrating to my five and seven year old. Great concept, but not user friendly. We gave this game a ten-minute try and it has never been out of the box again. Unfortunately, this one was a waste of money. Mario Kart made up for it, though!
