Great monitor with one major flaw...at least for me!:
This is a great monitor, the sound is indeed crystal clear and you get rid of most of the "white noise" in the room. I'm amazed how I can even hear her whisper in the morning when she wakes up and starts paying around in her crib. The range works perfect (at least in my house). My toddler loves the lullabies. Battery life is perfect and it was really easy to set it up. But it has one major flaw: -Temperature is only display in Fahrenheit and not in Celsius, so if you are used to measure it celsius... more info
i can go outside:
this is great i can go walk down to the mailbox or out to the barn and i have reception the whole time! and my husband and i can talk back and forth thru the monitor even if i'm outside!!
Baby monitor:
The monitor is ok at best. Its difficult to hear through the monitor even thought the volume is set at the highest setting. Also the talk feature does not work well. On occasion, after releasing the talk bottom, there is a 3 to 5 sec delay which prevents one to hear what is happening/being said in the room being monitored. Its incredibly frustrating. I'm not sure if this is the problem with this particular item or all of the monitors. I may just return it. The earlier Philips Avent model (the yellow one)... more info
Great monitor:
Exactly what a monitor should be very clear, no fuzzy interference even when on our 900 MHZ cordless phones or around our wireless router. We tried another video monitor that had lots of interference and wasn't reliable for this one and are totally pleased. A couple of things I was hoping it did do that it did not were, have the ability to turn the lullaby feature on and off from the parent remote and same for the night light.
