This was purchased as a gift. Please stop asking me to review this item. If it's anything like other Sid Meier's games, it's great.
Rehash of old Colonization:
Played it for two hours and gave up. It's a future white elephant gift now. Except for the new graphics it is the same old Colonization I played back in 1990's. I do not enjoy the graphics with the mega-sized people scampering about the landscape - I prefer the older style tokens. (Which is also probably why I put related software Civ 3 & 4 on the shelf after a few go's and only play Civ 2)
Perhaps the young whipper-snappers out there will enjoy this game, since it will be NEW to them, but there... more info

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT i DID SUCH A STUPID THING ---- i BOUGHT THIS GAME, WITHOUT LOOKING AND GOING OVER THE REVIEWS. iT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME A LOT OF GRIEF. LUCKLILY IT DIDN'T BREAK THE BANK.AS THEY TELL YOU,"ONCE YOU GET TO LOOK PAST THE COVER AND GET INTO THE MEAT OF IT ALL, YOU FIND OUT THAT THEY PAID BIG BUCKS FOR A COVER AND GAVE MINOR ATTENTION TO THE GAME. TO BAD THAT I COULDN'T GIVE IT A 1/4 OR LESS OF A STAR, BECAUSE THIS IS REALLY WHAT IT DESREVES, AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. YUCK !
Very very mixed opinion:
I have yet to beat this game and I've gotta admit that I'm a geek when it comes to strategy games - think all CIV games (from I to IV), Masters of Orion I/II, Galactic Civ, Armada, Age of Mythology, Age of Empires, WarCraft, StarCraft, ROTK 1-IV, Star Con 1-2, etc. I admit that I'm a big fan of the old Colonization game and am pretty disappointed by this remake.
