Avoid charges for overweight luggage ! Any luggage over 50 pounds on US Airlines is subject to a charge .Simply clip this scale to the handle of a suitcase or bag-lift the bag with the handle shaped scale until it beeps-you have the weight of your bag appear in the large LCD on the scale-as simple as that. Push a button and the scale resets to zero for the next bag. The scale is compact and light weight so you can take it along for the return journey-I swear that travel dirt gets heavier every year.

Does a very good job of weighing. The strap might be a little easier to attach. Maybe some type of hook.

I haven't taken the scale on a trip but I did test it when received and it was on the money compared with my bathroom scales.
Did not work:
We purchased this product for our Parents who travel a lot. We were excited about the reviews and the product and thought that it would be a great Christmas Gift. It didn't work at all. 4 different people tried several times to read the instructions and weigh the luggage but the scale kept reading 28lbs. When the luggage was weighed at the airport it was 51lbs. I must have gotten a bad product judging from the reviews. Ends the Guesswork:
This is my new item not to leave behind when flying! We were always concerned with the weight of the luggage when we return from a trip, and this took away the guesswork. Weight was exactly the same as the scale at the airport. Particularly handy on those charter flights when weight limits are very strict.
