Sorry Gene, but this thing is crap. I wish I had done more research before making the purchase. It looks cool, was a great idea, but the company that made this should refund everyone there money. If you buy one, the minute you pull it out of the box you'll know you spent way too much on it. It's flimsy plastic and feels like your going to break it if you handle it much. Not as expected:
We bought this for to use with our Rock Band games however, it didn't work for all of the different Rock Band games. The looks of it is pretty cool. My 14 year old daughter loved it. It just is big and harder to play than the guitar that comes with Guitar Hero. I actually wouldn't recommend it unless you want it more for the looks. The Guitar Hero guitar is much easier to use and more comfortable.
Gene Simmons Axe Guitate for Wii:
The guitar is awesome looking and, being bigger than other wii guitars, was easier to play because of it's size. Unfortunately, the green key always stuck and you couldn't play the thing. Sent it back and got a replacement. Same thing happened again. The green key kept sticking (although not as bad this time). Gave up and sent the replacement back for a refund.

As far as controllers go, I gotta admit... I was impressed! It was either going to be an awesome buy or one of the worst buys that I've made - and I'm glad it was the first. Size-wise, it's taller than any of the Rock Band or Guitar Hero controllers we have; a little shy of the length of a real guitar. But it is DEFINATELY made better - meaning this thing is made with better materials and could take some abuse. I was always affraid to "let loose" on the original controllers; but not this controller.... more info
