Why the quickfire is a better choice than the iphone 3g:
Being an Iphone 3g owner for the past 6months- let me tell you why the quickfire is better choice than the Iphone 3g The Iphones touch screen keyboard is a pain to use for text and emails and the autocorrect feature has the brain of a pre-schooler so you constantly have to delete the filled in words making long texts and emails unpractical. Second- receiving and sending MMS is not possible yet there are apps to pay for that do a subpar job- but in essence it does not work effectively. Having bluetooth... more info
not a bad phone, love the keyboard:
I have this phone for about a week now. Overall, it's not bad. You can dial/type either with the touch screen key pads or use the full keyboard. Texting is so easy now. This is one of the few phone with full keyboard where you don't have to purchase the data plan! It can connect to your computer via bluetooth, but i haven't try that yet. Now, the not so great things: 1) I haven't been able to find away to turn of the 3G. Doing so will extend battery talk time. So for now, I have to charge it every... more info
Too many expensive requirements:
Amazon requires you to purchase a monthly PDA account with this phone for either 30.00 or 60.00 per month, adding up to $720.00 a year for two years to your phone bill. AT&T doesn't require it. You would be better off to go through Radio Shack for 29.00 and not have the PDA requirement hung around your neck. Caveat Emptor - shop around!
