I took the advice of another commenter and made sure I purchased this from Amazon, not a third party seller as I trusted Amazon more to provide an authentic RIM product. When you take shipping into consideration, the price is about the same as other sellers (if you qualify for Amazon's free shipping).

This charger is great as it does not heat up like a lot of crappy knockoff chargers do. It also works well with my Droid and will work fine with any device that charges through a micro USB port.
