Possibly received a defective camcorder:
After all the positive reviews and YouTube posts and doing a month of research I settled on buying this camcorder. I received it and tested it and returned it within 24 hours. Video was grainy and had noise when you zoomed in. Objects you zoomed in on would maintain focus but move the camera to the left or right and back to the object again and focus would never regain. Doesn't work for me:
I found the controls complicated and the video was poor quality. Interfacing between the camera and my computer was complicated. I returned for a refund.
GREAT PURCHASE:
This camcorder is awesome. The picture is extremely good for being under $300. Buttons and different figures are so easy to use and quick to find. The still camera I thought when purchasing this wasn't going to be good but it is WAY better then I was thinking it was going to be. I would recommend this camcorder to anyone looking for just family fun, sports and goofing around that doesn't require much detail videoing. canon FS200:
The camera is good and easy to use. The battery life is about 3 hours which is what I wanted. The picture quality is also good. The software that came with the camea could be a little better and a little more versatile. Price wise it was a good deal.
