Beautiful concept for finding a personal style, but a little contrived: 
I really looked forward to receiving this book after getting Danielle La Porte's "Fire Starter Sessions" from her blog, White Hot Truth (steep price, but excellent BTW. It's a beautiful book and an intriguing concept of selecting a personal style. There are no questionnaires or left-brained exercises (a good thing), mostly page after page of example people and accessories to match.
That's great, but it starts to feel like "I don't see my combo here." Logically, that's not possible with innumerable...more info
so sad: 
I find it sad that people need this book to develop their own style! "Personal branding"...I'm sorry but if you are not a business, you should be authentic enough all on your own. I don't see how this book would be helpful or interesting to anyone who isn't already completely self-obsessed. I would have found it a complete waste of time, but the 2 stars I gave it are because there were some pretty things to cut out for a lovely collage I was making that day.
Really makes you think:
This book does a wonderful job of making you think about what you value and how things fit into your life. My style statement is a wonderful reflection of my character, my style and my lifestyle. And it helps me to think about things more critically. Do they fit my style statement? If not, do they really fit me then? It's a reflection that helps me cull things from my experiences, closet and life.
Fantastic: 
I've bought several copies of this book for myself and friends. Its truly enlightening. Its a great book for anyone not just the stylish people in your life. I highly reccomend this book. Keep in mind its a workbook, meant to be written in so its not the type you can share after you've finishes reading it. But at Amazon's price you can afford to buy your friends and family their own copy.
