Customer Review: I bought a few copies of this book to give out at a birthday party to the children who came. However, I read it first. It is just delightful and educational as well, and the kids just loved it!
Customer Review: Books explaining the celebration of Hanukkah abound - who would have thought there was anything new to say to children on this topic? However, Heiligman's excellent book, published by National Geographic as part of the Holidays around the World series, offers a unique perspective. The historical... more info
Customer Review: The book indicates that the Taj Mahal is a "muslim mosque" which is quite a stretch. The Taj Mahal complex does include a mosque but the iconic Taj Mahal is not a mosque. I may white it out, I hate errors. The photographs are lovely; but I am concerned the other facts may be erroneous too.

The book, writing,... more info

It is all explained throughly, and easy to understand. You should research in your public library, at home, and on the internet.... more info
Fun Dog, Sun Dog from Marshall Cavendish Children's Books Price: $14.95
Customer Review: This has been our 17 month-old's favorite book for months now. A number of parts of the book make him laugh (such as a line that reads something like "Tinka is a icky, sticky, licky dog") and the illustrations are great. It's a very clever rhyming book and great for families that love dogs.
Customer Review: Concept, tone, layout and lively color photographs of Jews internationally explain the High Holidays to youngsters with awe and joy. If practice makes perfect, this third entry (first two on Hanukkah and Passover) about Jewish holidays in National Geographic's Holidays Around the World series proves... more info
