Tolle focuses on the concept, the practical application, and the benefits without the usual religious hang-ups. This book is an important read for all who seek peace of mind in this life. Customer Review: As other reviewers have pointed out, if you're familiar with Buddhism, you're familiar with this book. I think it became popular because so many westerners don't know or have read basic books on Buddhism. I think he was just Oprah's flavor of the month of self-help.
Customer Review: At the time of publication this bok sold itself on the idea you could practise to be present. Now this is seen as nonsense as practise puts you out of the present. When present there is no practise. The book is ultimate nonsense.
Customer Review: Guardians of Being by Eckhart Tolle, Patrick McDonnell is the perfect book for fans of both authors. A refreshing, re-readable little book. McDonnell's illustrations are wonderful and mesh beautifully with the words of Tolle
Customer Review: I bought this for my toddler even though she's a bit young for this book. After reading it, I realized that the book was very helpful for me, not at all over-simplified and 'age specific'. Truthfully, anybody at any age would benefit from this book.
Customer Review: Again Tolle hits a homerun. I loved "A New Earth". This books is wonderful to just open to any page and get a concentrated bit of help to enter into the present moment. We need to be reminded how to bypass the mind and access consciousness.......This is a quick quick help to do so at any time.

Customer Review: I already owned a copy of 'inner peace'and it had given me so much insight that I sent a copy to my sister. Tolle is a brilliant and funny man. I have several of his CD's and never tire of listening to them, even though the content is similar from one to the next.
