Customer Review: Don't know what it is about this book, but it is amazing. The illustrations are repetative, the text sometimes ridiculous, ("goodnight nobody"?!) But it works magic. It simply reads like a lullaby. My children have each loved it as toddlers, and number six is proving to be no exception. (We have... more info
Customer Review: Developed from a manuscript lost for decades, the story behind the story of this book is almost better than the book itself. Margaret Wise Brown, author of such beloved children's classics as Goodnight Moon and Runaway Bunny, left behind this manuscript (and others) in a cedar trunk. Now 56 years... more info
Customer Review: If you are a Margaret Wise Brown fan this book is a definite for your collection. If you are new to her works this is still a book worth owning and one that your three to five year old would want you to read again and again. The drawings by Leonard Wisegard are a big part of the charm.
Customer Review: I do not yet have any kids of my own, but I was touched by the sweet message of maternal love in this book. The illustrations are gorgeous.

Customer Review: If you like Good Night Moon, you will love this as well. I told my husband that when are girls are too big for bedtime stories, I will want him to read me these two books at bedtime. They are so soothing. My girls both love looking at the details of the pictures. This is a classic.
Customer Review: My 6 year old is a beginning reader! He is so enjoying this book. He will read it and then read it again. It is a perfect read for him and his facination with bugs!

This book has a different rhythmic scheme than Goodnight Moon, but I feel that it is equally poetic and comforting. It is... more info
