Customer Review: I purchased this "monograph" of sorts for my mother in law who has everything, but loves portraits. The book is a presence, due to size and production quality. Customer Review: I am a photographer, so looking at the work of other photographers is enjoyable. Plus, this collection is like a history book and a reminder of important events in my lifetime. I'm sure to be looking through it again and again.
Customer Review: As an artist who once worked with Jerelle Kraus at the Times, way back in the Reagan era, I can say that she was a fiercely independent art director, with courageous political convictions and an outstanding aesthetic sensibility. Her use of famous artists as well as little-known American and... more info
Customer Review: An impressive 162 photographs from a master photojournalist which really capture the feel of the city without seeming too nostalgic. What I love about this book is the straightforward way these photos present an amazing amount of detail. Feininger one said "This world is full of things the eye... more info
