Customer Review: Great show and this was the best season. The writers did a great job intertwining the police, drug dealers, politicians, and schools. Gives you a real good look at the systemic problems. Great acting all around too. All of the seasons were great, but if you have to get just one, I'd pick this one.
Customer Review: I've always heard about "The Wire" but don't have cable so I was never able to see it, but said that I was going to order the dvd's and that's exactly what i've done. I just can't express enough how great this show is/was! It's so good that it's easy to get addicted. Everything stops when i'm... more info
Customer Review: If your a fan of the HBO series called "The Wire," you will love this one too. The Corner predates The Wire and many of the same actors were used in both series. If you like hard core realism and lots of drama, The Corner will meet your expectations fully. Khandi Alexander is a fantastic actress and... more info

Customer Review: Good book, very interesting view into the workings of the Baltimore PD. It has many interesting stories and insights. The thing that keeps it from being a five-star book are that it is somewhat disjointed, which means that it remains on the edge of being gripping without quite crossing the line.... more info
Customer Review: It's fantastic, although I bought it initially for the Pogues track...Ray Cole's wake being one of my favorite Wire moments, but I have found the whole thing contributes to a sense that you are hearing the many voices of a struggling city. My respect for hip-hop is enhanced by my purchase of this... more info
